Belagavi, Sep 22: Unidentified miscreants stoned a Ganesha Utsav Pandal at Bhendi Bazaar during wee hours of Saturday.

Bhendi Bazaar here is known as a communally sensitive place.

The miscreants also stoned some vehicles parked in the vicinity.

Before the police rushed to the spot, the suspects fled from there.

The incident occurred at around 2.30 am.

The CCTV cameras near the area show two people indulging in the act. The police have begun the investigations and are hopeful of nabbing the culprits soon.

The police have deployed additional forces to thwart any untoward incidents in the area.

Local MLA Anil Benke has condemned the incident and sought stern action by the police against the miscreants.

A case stands registered at Market police station.

    Communally sensitive area. Where ever they are in majority, the area ,locality, region, country becomes 'sensitive' . They are only peacefull when they are in minority , the moment they touch 40% ,then thats it. Name any country for that matter thats in peace.

    How sure you are that the miscreants belong to the other community?
    Most of the time this is done from within the community so that blame comes on the other community by default. Usually politicians sponsor such activities.
