Dubai, Oct 31: ACME Building Materials, a well-known neame for quality building Materials, celebrated its third annual Diwali celebrations in a colourful function held on Thursday October 30, where it announced its plans to launch real estate projects in Mangalore.
ACME celebrates festival of Lights to mark its anniversary every year. This year, the event was organised at Trader Hotel, Deira Dubai.
The event started off with the lighting of the lamp by Harish Sherigar and his wife, Dinesh Sherigar and Prakash Sherigar, along with well-known astrologer Ashok Purohit, who came all the way from India for specifically taking part in the function.
Harish Sherigar, proprietor and the host of the evening, addressed the gathering and thanked each and every one for their support. B G Mohandas, editor-in-chief of www.gulfkannadiga.com raised the toast. In his speech, he praised ACME’s achievements for the past nine years and wished the concern well in its future developments.
Reshma performed welcome dance to begin the celebrations and to add spice to the evening, Yasmine Group, a group of Russian dancers, performed beautiful dances to the tunes of Hindi and English numbers. With their graceful and synchronized movements, Yasmine Group succeeded in winning over the hearts of the gathering.
Harish Sherigar along with Nadeem, Rajeev, Promod and Bhargavi entertained the crowd by singing beautiful Hindi and English numbers. Younger Sherigars, Akshata and Anshul, gave a dance performance.
Maurice Lobo, noted enterpreneur from Mangalore, officially launched the dream project of the Sherigars, Harsha Residency 1 at Kadri Kambla and Harsha Residency 2 at Shaktinagar, Mangalore. After successfully completing nine years in dealing in building materials, Sherigars now have stepped into the field of building construction. Peter Quadros, Prakash Sherigar, Sharmila Sherigar along with Harish were present at the dias.
Shailesh, owner of Chavadi Restaurant in Dubai, is the proud owner of the first flat at Harsha Residency.
Later, Tatiana performed a solo dance and Shankari along with Yasmine Group performed a group dance. Spot prizes and performance of belly dancing by the Yasmine Group, were the other attractions of the evening.
The celebration concluded with the rendering of non-stop Baila by Earl Joy, Harish Sherigar, Bhargavi along with Nadeem And Rajeev. Earl Joy, in his inimitable, charismatic style, compered the entire evening function and kept the show going without any hiccups.
