Mangalore, Oct 31: Renowned lyricist Wilfy Rebimbus released the DVD and VCD of popular Konkani movie 'Padri' at Press Club here on Friday October 31.

While Raymond was the producer of the movie, Desmond Quadros co-produced it.

Speaking after releasing the DVD and VCD, Rebimbus said that the main objective of producing the movie is to add richness to the Konkani language. "We were aware about 'encouragement' given to the regional language in India. Movie theatres are not ready to screen regional language films. Still we took risk and we succeed to some extent in our mission," he added.

Speaking on the occasion Richard Castelino said that making a feature film in regional language is a Herculean task. But Raymond Quadros dared to produce the movie in respect of Konkani language. He deserves all appreciation for his good will and efforts in promoting Konkani, he said.

He informed that Jerosa Company is the official distributor VCDs and DVDs in the city. Dealers and customers can contact Jerosa Company to avail their copies.
