Panaji, Nov 2: The medical examination conducted on the German minor girl has confirmed that she was raped, claimed her lawyer.
"I have spoken to the doctor and they have confirmed me that the examination has proved that she was raped," girl's lawyer Aires Rodrigues told reporters here.
Much awaited medical examination on the 14 year old german girl who's mother had accused state education minister atanasio Monserratte's son, Rohit and Public works department minister's nephew, Warren, of raping her daughter was conducted this morning.
The examination was conducted by panel of doctors at Goa medical college and hospital at Bambolim. The panel, comprising of a lady doctor, examined the girl for almost two hours.
Accompanied by her mother and lawyer, the girl came to the forensic department of Goa medical college in the morning. She had to wait almost for an hour as the doctors had to consult the GMC dean.
"The panel of doctors was constituted as the case is sensational. Otherwise, only one doctor conducts the examination," a doctor stated.
As the medical examination concluded this afternoon, the lawyer said that the doctor has confirmed that the girl was raped.
"According to Goa children's act even if she had sex with consensus, it amounts to rape as she is a minor," Rodrigues said.
The girl's medical examination was conducted less than 24 hours after she deposed before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC).
The girl had broke her silence almost a month after her mother had complained about rape with the calangute police station.
The police had deferred arrest of the both the accused as the girl was initially unwilling to give her statement or get herself medically examined.
The hospital sources confirmed that the final medical examination report would be ready by 5 p.m. and subsequently handed over to the police.
