Bangalore: Four Nabbed, Rs 1.2 Cr Worth Jewellery Siezed

Bangalore,Nov 4: A four-member gang, including a pawn-broker, has been arrested in connection with the daylight robbery in a private finance company to the tune of rs 1.20 crore, police said.

The gang had looted the General Finance and Leasing Ltd of jewellery pledged by people after forcibly taking the safe lockers key from the employees on October 29.

Eleven kg of gold ornaments valued at Rs 1.20 crore has been seized from the arrested, City Police Commissioner, Shankar Bidari told a press conference here.





The police, who arrested the gang members this morning, gave their names as Chethan Kumar, Manjunath, Arun and Ravichandran.

Chethan Kumar, a pawn broker, hatched the robbery plot with three of his associates, he said.

Chethan, who hails from Rajastan, had pledged jewels worth Rs eight lakh with General Finance and Leasing Ltd, Bidari said.

    Good work done by bangalore police. no need to release them. if once these people start stealing they will never stop it, SO ACCORDING TO ME PLEASE CUT THEIR BOTH THE HANDS, SO THESE PEOPLE CAN REMEMBER THIS UNTIL THEIR DEATH.
