AAP MP moves SC over Rafale deal

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Monday moved the Supreme Court demanding an investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into India's purchase of Rafale fighter jets from France.

"Filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court today regarding the 'mahaghotala' of Rs 36,000 crore. Why the government is purchasing the Rs 540 crore Rafale at a cost of Rs 1,670 crore? Why the deal is given to a 12-day old private company and 78-year-old HAL was ignored? Why the Minister lied in the Parliament," Singh tweeted in Hindi.

Last month, Singh had sent a legal notice to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over alleged irregularities in the deal and had threatened to move the court if he did not receive replies to his questions on various issues connected with the deal, including the price.

No doubt that there are some loop holes in the secret deal but how to find out ? May be only after another government comes to power. Time being some adjustment (ghotala) has been done. How the French Presidents statements were revoked or changed as per Indian governments directions.???

Theres been no accountablity for any Corruption reported in the last four and half years of BJP rule and quite naturally they have been keeping silent on the Rafale deal which has prompted the AAP leader to move the Supreme Court and the Ex BJP leaders like Yshwant Sinha, Prashant Bhushan and Arun Shourie to approach the CBI with all the details.

Just recollect waht a lot of noise the BJP made all these years over the Bofors scam of 60 Crores and are in the total silent mode in the rafale scam involving as alleged by the AAP leader of 35000 Crores.

The BJP has no option but to order Multiple probes by SIT, JPC and the CBI to unearth the whole Truth.
