Doha, Nov 6: Tulu Koota Qatar, a socio-cultural organization from the Indian State of Karnataka, is all set to stage "Doha Ki Shaam Rafi Ke Naam" on Friday 7th November 2008 at 5.30 p.m,. At Doha Cinema as a precursor to commemorate its 10th anniversary celebration.
Tagore Das popularly known as Mohammed Rafi of South India with his magic voice which quite exactly resembles great Indian singer Late Mohammed Rafi will enthrall the audience with golden hits of Late Mohammed Rafi.
Anita Samson, a melodious voice who has rendered more than 1000 Hindi, Kannada, Tulu, Beary, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Konkani stage shows in India as well as abroad, along with Pappan, one of the leading music directors of Malayalam film industry (Who also directs music for majority of Wilfy Nite programmes worldwide) on organ, Joy on guitar, Shabir Das on tabla, Joy on Congo drum, Nikhil Ram on Saxophone and flute, composer Azeez are all set to enthrall the Doha Audience.. The entire professional team will keep the music lovers on their toes with sensational music performance.

The team named as "Taraana" is accompanied by their dynamic team manager Ivan D'souza an executive engineer at Manipal University Projects. The motto of the team "Taraana" is to encourage artistes by giving them a platform to exhibit their talents and also help our less fortunate brothers and sisters back home through the proceeds. The team plans to have more shows in the Gulf in the coming days and appeals to the various organizations in the Gulf to provide them with a opportunity to stage shows and exhibit their talents
Tagore Das has been bestowed with a unique talent of singing more than 600 golden hits of Mohd. Rafi without notes. His feat of singing 12 hours at a stretch in a record breaking event recently at Manipal and who has also performed more than 1,000 stage shows in different parts of India and abroad makes him a versatile singer.
This musical evening is first of its kind ever organized in such a magnitude by Tulu Koota Qatar. Ravi Shetty the President of Tulu Koota Qatar says that Tulu Koota which focuses on socio-cultural activities is also helping community brothers and sisters who are in trouble in India as well as in Qatar.
Shetty, a prominent Mangalorean entrepreneur in Doha is leading from the front to encourage talents back home by giving them an opportunity to perform in Doha. His social activities are admired not only in Doha but also back home too. Tulu Koota plans to contribute some portion from the proceeds of this show as charity.
