Mangaluru: Two-day MDP on Contract Management held at SJEC

Mangaluru, Oct 17: A two-day Management Development Program (MDP) on Contract Management, was organized by the department of Business Administration at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, on October 15 and 16 at Spoorthi Conference Hall of the college. The programme was inaugurated by Prof Lionel Aranha, Chartered Accountant and Legal Advisor, Mangaluru, on October 15.

The dignitaries on the dais were Prof Lionel Aranha, chief guest, Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC, Dr Rio D’Souza, principal of SJEC, Fr Rohith D’Costa, assistant director of SJEC, Dr Prakash Pinto, dean of MBA and Dr Babitha Rohit, faculty convener of the MDP. Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, chief of R&D and Chitralekha J Acharya, faculty convener of the MDP were also present during the inaugural.



Participants from various organizations and institutions like NMPT, Cardolite, Bharat Group, AIMIT, Yenepoya Institute and A J Institute were present during the inauguration.

Chitralekha J Acharya, faculty convener of the MDP introduced the chief guest and welcomed the gathering.

Prof Lionel Aranha spoke about Contract Management implementation and oversight of the legally enforceable performance commitments both outbound and inbound and also its importance in the field of various business sectors.

Dr Rio D’Souza stressed on the importance of Contract Management to the engineering discipline as well and shared his experience in the workplace which demands the need of thorough knowledge of contract management.

Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza explained the importance of team in the workplace through an anecdote and shared his view on Contract Management.

Reena Sequeira was the master of ceremony. Dr Babitha Rohit, faculty convener of the MDP, rendered the vote of thanks.
