Dubai: Devadiga Sangha to Honour Eminent Neurosurgeon Dr K V Devadiga on Nov 14

Dubai, Nov 9: Dr K V Devadiga, eminent neurosurgeon, last year’s Rajyotsava Prashasti awardee and former president of Devadiga Sudharaka Sangh (Reg), Mangalore, will be honoured by the Devadiga Sangh, UAE, for his outstanding contribution to the profession and the community. 

The Devadiga Sangh UAE is all set to celebrate its 17th anniversary with a family get-together at 10 am on Friday November 14 at Hotel Highland (former Arif Castle), Bur Dubai, near Falcon roundabout on Khalid Bin Waleed Street, Dubai, and Dr Devadiga will be the chief guest.

Dharmapal Devadiga, former president, Devadiga Sangh Mumbai, and M K Harischandra, eminent businessman and former president, Mangala Credit Co-operative Society, will be the guests of honour. 

B R Shetty, chairman, NMC group, will grace the occasion and felicitate Dr Devadiga.

The day-long event will have vibrant musical, and cultural events, to entertain the crowd.

    Thanks for the wishes, though we were the first to form a Sangha here in Gulf we could not do much to bring it to a grand scale. But we really had a very strong presence in the Dubai Karnataka Sangha which was in peak those years. Sundar Devadiga, Beeji Mohandas, Late Sanjay Devadiga, Padmavalli Sanjay, Jayashri Dinakar and myself who had been in active positions for more than a decade and served Sangha selflessly.
