Diamond firm in Surat to gift 600 cars to staff as Diwali gift, two women to get keys from PM Modi

Surat, Oct 25 (NIE): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on behalf of a Surat-based diamond firm, will hand over car keys to two women employees of the firm on Thursday, under a ‘Skill India Incentive Ceremony’. The firm, Hari Krishna Exports, will at the same time conduct the ceremony in Surat and will give cars to 600 of its diamond polishers.

The chairman of the firm, Savji Dholakia said, “This year we have shortlisted 1,600 diamond polishers working in our company who performed well adding to the growth of the company. We wanted to give them incentives. Thus, whoever was interested in car will receive cars and the rest will be given Fixed deposits and flats. This is an effort to motivate them to perform even better in the future.”

According to sources, the diamond polishers will receive Maruti Suzuki Alto and Maruti Suzuki Celerio cars. The company has been giving such gifts to employees for the last four years, Dholakia said. So far, around 4000 of the 5500 employees have received such gifts as Diwali bonuses.

The ceremony where PM Modi will hand over the keys to the two women employees will be telecast live for the employees in Surat.

“One girl Kajal, who is physically handicapped, works in the planning department. Kajal and the other girl Hiralben left for Delhi on Wednesday. They will meet Prime Minister Narenra Modi on Thursday who will give them car keys,” Dholakia said.

The company has so far gifted 300 flats to diamond polishers. The same number of flats is under constructions for the employees, a company official said.

According to officials, the company named the ceremony for conferring these gifts as Skill India Incentive Ceremony to encourage the employees to work harder.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi donated ₹1000 to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through Narendra Modi app and urged citizens for contributing to his party.
“You can contribute any amount from ₹5/- to ₹1000/- via the ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App.’ Your support and contribution will strengthen the resolve of our Karyakartas to serve the nation,” Modi tweeted, days after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a campaign to gather funds through a door to door campaign.
Our God Modi Ji is begging for minimum Rs 5 donation to BJP. And this is through NM app for transparency.
However, we don't maintain transparency during anonymous funding without any cap & Aadhar verification, which made us the richest political party in the world. BJP asking for donations is like Nirav Modi asking for a loan.
He came with the promise of giving Rs 15 lakh to every Indian, but the "faqeer" is now himself asking donations from every Indian. Koi jhola lao bhai, utha ke nikalna hai!
BJP got 76.85Crs donation in 2015-16. It rose to mind-numbing 532.38Crs in 2016-17 (just 1yr) !!! Rafale scam must have added further to BJP's mysterious kitty. Also, everyone knows Modi's corporate buddies spend lavishly on BJP's election campaign.

What the!!! why is this Feku Maharaj involved in this?? what has his Cowernment done to benefit this industry?? Giving expensive gifts such as flats, cars is not new and didnt start after 2014.. This has been happening for sometime now and its good to see hard work (assuming) being recognized and rewarded.. remember nobody gives anything free, especially Business organisations.. What they give in rewards is also part of their cost and would be recovered in one or the other form to ensure their Net margins are maintained...

Now for Fekendra, what a gimmick.. never fails to miss a Photo Opp... 600 people out of 130 crores get rewarded and he is there is take credit... shows how cheap minded this Pee Cowernment is...

I like to congratulate "Hari Krishna Exports" for years of encouragement to employees through generous incentives, which must be followed by industry leaders in India.

Hari Krishna Exports on its own has been promoting their global business through the Swadeshi motto, much before Narendra Damodradas Modi announced Make in India, Swachh Bharat and what have you.

Everyone knows the reality of his schemes which are renamed after the previous govt.'s schemes to take credit without any effort, which also shows his inability to come up with anything original by his own effort.

It is even absurd to link this successful company with Make in India, just for the simple reason it exists in Gujarat, and for the simple reason for promoting Modi, focusing on the coming national elections.

I strongly condemn this act of taking credit without any effort on the part of the PM.

Now a Surat-based diamond firm, will hand over car keys to two women employees of the firm.

Why PM should be involved in company incentives to its employees?

The firm, Hari Krishna Exports, will have another ceremony in Surat and will give cars to 600 of its diamond polishers.

Some time these firms will invite Modiji to inaugurate Beef Export Facility.

Hari Krishna Exports of Savji Dholakia has a secured loan of Rs 3455.73 crores from banks.

It seems the firm has the capacity to service the loan, if business continues as it is now. Some years back, hundreds of workers engaged in cutting and polishing of diamonds in Surat took to streets and pelted stones on diamond factories as their wages were not raised as announced by the Diamond Association of Surat. Workers claimed that their salaries were not raised since last twelve years.

These diamonds are sold mostly in USA where the salary of polishers is around 6 times that of salaries in Surat. Hence, this merchant is able to give the gifts, which is very nice, but what he gives is just the part of their real wages.

First of all Rs. 3,455 crores is too small for such a big company, not sure what is your source of information.

Secondly you cannot compare wages/salaries in India to the US, if that is the case you can compare every Industry and say that all the employees be given similar gifts to match their counterparts in the US.

Savji Dholakia of Hari Krishna Exports is setting an example by rewarding those who are good performers and encouraging others to perform. In my opinion providing houses, vehicles as gifts is a brilliant innovative idea, commendable that he is willing to share his profits with the employees.

@D.Shetty, Do you think only you guys are tax payers in this country? Ask yourself how many of you pay tax honestly, not even 1%..... By the way, you never know so far the benefit what you have accessed from the Government might include the hard earned money taxed paid amount of so many Muslims and Christians... So if you hate so much then dont walk on the tax payers road, coz it may contain Muslims & Christians paid tax money too.

Regarding subsidy ? Subsidy is not your alms. Don't worry, we do not beg you and will never accept from you any alms. Ask your family have they not benefited from subsidized petrol and Gas so far till previous Government regime?
