Udupi: Minister Lays Foundation Stone for 'Anna Brahma' at Krishna Math

Udupi, Nov 11: Janardana Reddy, state Tourism minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of ‘Anna Brahma’ kitchen and dining facility at Sri Krishna Math adjacent to the existing dining hall. The project is estimated to cost around Rs 3.5 crore.

Reddy announced a personal contribution of Rs 25 lac towards this and assured he would try to get government assistance of Rs 1 crore towards the construction of Anna Brahma. 













Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami of Puttige Math and Sri Raghumanyateerta Swami of Bheemanakatte Math were present on the dais. Manipal University pro-chancellor Dr Ramdas Pai, released the year 2009 calendar of Sri Krishna on the occasion.

MLAs Raghupathy Bhat and Lalaji R Mendon, Bellary entrepreneur Suresh Shetty, municipal councilor Dinakar Shetty, Udupi Urban Development Authority president Sudhakar Shetty, and A J Hospital and Research Centre chairman A J Shetty, were also present. Sudhir Rao Kodavoor welcomed the gathering and Gopal Acharya compered the programme

Sri Sri Sri Sugunendrateerta Swamiji of Puttige Math has given many seminars and speeches in USA which has made them very famous. For this dedicated service, Sri Sri Sri Sugunendrateerta Swamiji has offered the key of the Oklahama City from the Mayor and the Governor of the State which is the highest civilian honour.

    Similarly, Sri Sri Sri Sugunendrateerta Swamiji has given the highest civilian honour at Phenix city of Arizona by offering the Key of the City and this day is celebrated now as "Sri Sugunendrateerta Day". Because of their religious influence on the people of America, the USA Government has very much pleased to release 2 Postal Stamps which is a very high hounour given for an Indian.

    Definitely, there will be many more developments at Udupi in the guidence and blessings of Sri Sri Sri Sugunendrateerta Swamiji of Puttige Math. Namasthe.
