Petrol, diesel prices likely to ease further

New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS): With transport fuel prices on a downward trend for over a week, an official source said on Friday that the reductions were a result of falling global crude oil prices and the rupee's

appreciation against the US dollar and that prices were expected to soften further in the coming days.

Under the daily dynamic pricing regime, petrol in Delhi on Friday cost Rs 80.85 per litre and diesel was priced at Rs 74.73.

"Since last eight days, international oil prices have been falling and rupee has also appreciated," the source said.

With the previous rise in global oil prices, petrol and diesel were sold in Delhi at Rs 84 and Rs 75.45 per litre respectively on October 4 when the government cut excise duty by Rs 1.50 per litre each and oil marketing companies were asked to reduce their margin by Rs 1 a litre.

"This means that in the last one week, retail prices have registered a reduction of Rs 1.98 per litre on petrol and Rs. 0.96 per litre on diesel," the source said.

37 Rupee petrol we have paid nearly 3 times with fuel loot by center & states, when crude had been 35$ we paid more than 65 to 70.
Beware of Ullu banaye plan for elections- it will decrease after heavy rise very little daily giving people sense of a temporary reprieve, once local elections are over they will be raised back to where it was come what may,
People have the vote to throw away this corrupt govt. at center to prevent further loot for 5 more years.

What is the use of bring down the fuel prices even 10 rs per ltr . The prices raised on necessary commodities like rice, spices, milk will not come down and no one will give the direction to reduce the prices according to the fuel prices as its directly interconnected ! All the business community waiting to increase the prices while fuel prices going to high they celebrating as its diwali bonus for them ! Now common man doesnt understand international market or crude oil prices etc he knew only his daily bread and how to reduce the cost in order to survive in dignified life !

Don't give Modi this rude shock he might mistake it for 2019 election victory. Modibaba and his 40 chors may not even know that fuel prices have dropped significantly in international market. It will take sometime to sink into him and then he will make a self praising fake bhashan.

Rather..... how come you are blaming Congress while oil price is 140 dollare and India sold petrol at 70 and diesel at 56 rupees. And gas price is 400.....in 2014 ... and it is maintained 64 by the end of Congress rule though oil is 94 dollar. ..
But Modi sold petrol at 70 rupees while oli price is 35 dollar per barrel.
And now oil is 74 dollar per barrel. And Modi is selling petrol at 89 rupee diesel 79 rupees. And gas at 840 rupees..
    Just compare how much difference.....
Modi is looting the country with help of you bhakts...
