Mangalore: State-level Economics Conference at Pompeii College on Dec 19

Mangalore, Dec 17: A state-level economics conference on ‘Developmental Challenges in Coastal Karnataka’, will be held at Pompeii College, Aikala, on Friday December 19.

The conference will be organized by the college economics department in association with University Grants Commission (UGC). Dr Govind Bhat will deliver the keynote address on the occasion.

Fr Paul Pinto, convener, Pompeii Institutions, will inaugurate the conference and Prof Patrick Menezes, principal, Pompeii College, will preside.

Interested people can participate in the conference where entry is free, said Prof Menezes, Dr Radhakrishna Bhat, association secretary, and Prof Purushottam, K V, joint secretary.
