Kuwait : Community leader Pascal Pinto passes away in Mangaluru

Kuwait, Dec 30 : Pascal Pinto, former president of Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) Kuwait, founder of Kuwait Canara Konkan Community (KCKC), and member of various associations in Kuwait and elsewhere, passed away in Managaluru on Sunday December 30. He breathed his last at around 8 pm at Yenepoya hospital here.

He leaves behind his wife, son, daughter, family members and well-wishers across the Gulf and India.

He was 64.

Hailing from Permude, Pascal Pinto was instrumental in supporting Konkani activities in Kuwait as well as in Mangaluru.

Funeral cortege will leave residence Mathr Kripa House for St John the Baptist Church, Permude on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 3.30 pm. Mass at 4 pm.

Very sad and shocking news that Mr. Pascal Pinto is no more. We lost a good friend, a selfless social worker, a big supporter for many Konkani associations, a good health to many patients, a job provider for many un-employees, great relief to many innocent prisoners. His sudden death is a great loss to Konkani. He has organized our Mhataro Chorbela Show in Kuwait and treated us very well, there was nothing less for us during our stay at Kuwait with his leadership. He is also a Man of God. Today its Feast of Mary – Mother of God, and as I attended his funeral at St. John the Baptist Church, Permude, where he laid to rest in peace, surely our Mother Mary & Baby Jesus welcomed him to his kingdom with arms wide open and put him in a special place with all Saints.
Dearest Genevieve Bai & children .. May God grant his soul eternal rest and grant you all the needed strength and courage to bear this huge loss.

I think I knew Pascal Pinto to a certain extent. I met him a couple of times in Dubai when he came from Kuwait. Was a good person trying to help especially those in Kuwait with his various ideas.

A family oriented person, a friend in deeds, a good listener, whoever approach him to share their life challenges, always got a helping hand. He could not see others suffering and so does God could not make him suffer anymore and God took him away to rest in Him forever. A God fearing person got the day of the Feast of ‘The Holy Family’ to reach for his Eternal Reward. 1st January Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of ‘Mary Mother of God’ and on this day the departed soul of Uncle Pascal Baptist Pinto will be having the last rites of handing his mortal body to the mother earth. What more a true catholic practitioner can get as a reward for the service he rendered for mankind in all possible ways. He has accepted all challenges of life to reach to the needy. As we read in 2 Timothy 4: Uncle P B Pinto has finished the race and now enjoying the Everlasting Bliss with Angels and Saints in Praising and Glorifying God for ever. May His Soul Rest in PEACE.
