Mangalore, Dec 22: A total of 132 mobile handsets and cash were stolen from five shops in Saibeen Complex. The burglary came to light on the morning of Monday December 22, when the staff came to open the shops located on the third floor of the building opposite to Mangalore City Corporation.

























According to the shopkeepers, cash amounting to Rs 51,000 was also stolen. Razak , a resident of Bondel, who owns the shop ‘Yes You Mobile and Electronics’ claimed that  70 mobile handsets worth Rs 2.30 lac and cash were stolen from his shop. Thieves took away about 47 mobiles and Rs 18,000 in cash from two shops of ‘Mobile.com’ run by Ashraf Natekal. 

They entered the shop ‘Flash Belts Centre’ using a rod and stole 15 mobiles and cash of Rs 20,000, according to shopkeeper Savinaya Desakodi. Cash amounting to Rs 3,000 was stolen from another shop, ‘Mobile Corner’ of Abdul Jaleel, a resident of Jokatte.

A complaint has been registered at Barke police station. Further details from the police are awaited.
