Mangalore: ‘Navidad’ Brings Glad Tidings for Christmas

Mangalore, Dec 23: Father Christmas Santa Claus, angels from heaven, and stars of the sky, landed with glad tidings of ‘Navidad’ at the Conference Hall of St Agnes College on the evening of Monday December 22, making it a special one.

The fantasy evening was organized by the students and staff of the college on the eve of annual Christmas tidings programme, Navidad, a charity show, which aims at providing shelter to the deprived.





































Students of St Theresa’s School, Bendoor, performed the Santa music, while college students performed the play ‘The Legend of the Star of Bethlehem’. A Christmas ballet by Sandesha College of Fine Arts, and Christmas songs and dance also enthralled the audience.

Earlier, guest of honour Rose Mary Pais, chairman, Cashew Export Promotion Council of India, delivered the Christmas message to the gathering.

A cheque of Rs 1 lac was handed over to alumnus widow K Shantha as part of the event. Sr Maria Kripa, superior, St Agnes Convent, and principal Prem D’Souza, were present on the occasion.
