Mangalore: Goa Chief Minister Visits Kalaangann

Mangalore, Dec 27: Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat visited Kalaangann, the Konkani cultural heritage centre located at the Makale Shaktingar near here, at around 10 am on Saturday December 27, accompanied by his wife.

Former Goa chief minister Louizinho Faleiro, who happens to be the director of the governing body of Kalangann, had requested Kamat to visit the centre. He accompanied the chief minister during the visit. The visit was arranged to impress upon the Goa chief minister to extend assistance for the development of Kalaangann.



The visiting dignitaries were very happy over the rich artistic and architectural lay out of Kalaangann. They appreciated the fact that the work of such magnitude was made possible out of sheer private initiative. The chief minister also promised to extend help to the Kalaangann.
 
President of Mandd Sobhann Louie Pinto, Pirjent Roy Castelino, Gurkar Eric Ozario, secretary Ronie Crasta, Basti Vaman Shenoy, Stany Alvares and DK District Congress general gecretary Dolphy DSouza were present on the occasion.
