Bahrain: Nelson Alva to Lead Bahrain Pangalites

Bahrain, Jan 12: Pangalites in Bahrain got together to celebrate the feast of their patron St. John The Evangelist at the Papillon Banquet Hall recently.

Program started with a Hymn by Hannah Miranda and James Miranda spoke on importance of St John Evangelist, Henry Castelino welcomed the gathering.

Nelson Alva proposed to setup a new committee to carry on activities among the Bahrain Pangalaites.







 

A committee comprising of Nelson Alva as president, Henry Castelino as advisor, James Miranda, Alwyn Alva, Valerian Noronha and Valerian D’sa were chosen as Committee members.

Children presented some entertainment with songs from Edlyn Alva, Hannah Miranda, Melissa Martis, Jane D’and D'souza  a dance by Edna Noronha and Lavita Fernandes.

Games for children were played and spot prizes were given. Pangalites Businessmen in Bahrain came forward to Co-sponsor the event.

Beverages and delicious buffet was served by the papillon Restaurant. The event had music and compered by Charles D’mello.

The celebration ended with a vote of thanks by Henry Castelino

    Congratulations to Bahrain Pangalites, It is a good step by Nelson Alva and his friends from Pangala. As I know the various localities of Mangalore in a group are gathering and doing functions at Dubai and also they are helping the needy projects at back home. I wish you all the best.

    Congratulations to all Bahrain Pangalites for electing a new committee under the leadership of Nelson Alva. I am sure Nelson and his team will work hard for the betterment of all Pangalites in Bahrain and support all needy projects back home. I wish Nelson and the new committee members all the best. Also I call upon all Non Resident Pangla associations to co-oridante with one another for setting up a Fund/Committee for the welfare of Non Resident Pangalites.
