Abu Dhabi, Jan 24: Billlawara Balaga Abu Dhabi is now walking into 15th year of community service and the celebrations to the year will begin by hosting of the first event of 2009 for Billawas living in UAE with a picnic on 30th Jan 2009 at Baniyas Park, Abu Dhabi and will start from 9.30 AM onwards.
Speaking to the media Manohar Tonse the convenor of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi and Vice President of Gulf Billawa Sangha said that in a year when the global economy is moving towards depression, picnic is the appropriate event that can bring cheers to the moods of the people living here. We have decided to host this for all the Billawas living in UAE and Billawa Balaga Dubai has been invited to the picnic that kick starts our 15th year celebration.
Many dignitaries from Gulf countries will also be attending the picnic including Rajkumar – President of Gulf Billawa Sangha and Guru Seva Samithi Bahrain.
Former Ranji cricketer and executive committee member of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi Dayanand Bangera said that all preparations are being made to ensure the picnic is most memorable with many exhilarating games, live entertainment and few surprises. This picnic will be the appropriate toast to begin our celebration for the year ahead and shall exhibit true human spirit, diversity, and adventure as guest from other gulf countries are also coming in.
Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi will also be hosting a charity event in Mangalore at Town hall, Mangalore on 26th July 2009. Education donations will be given to deserving economically deprived students. A comedy drama from the famous “Bale Cha Parka” fame Devadas Kapikad will also be hosted at the charity event.
Members of Billawa Balaga Dubai, the official representatives of Billawa community in Dubai have always supported and stood united with fellow billawas in Abu Dhabi in all their endeavors and will be attending the picnic in full strength. Free bus service has been arranged from Sharjah / Dubai
