Ready for any kind of inquiry or discussion, challenges CM Kumaraswamy to BJP

Bengaluru, Feb 12: The discussion on the controversial audio clip is still continuing in the legislative assembly on Tuesday also. The opposition is demanding that the probe has to be conducted by the judiciary and not SIT (Special Investigation Team). However, speaker Ramesh Kumar has not given permission for this demand of the opposition.

Chief minister (CM) Kumaraswamy, who spoke on this issue, said, "Let the opposition not get scared about SIT. Earlier, when I was CM with the support of BJP also, they accused me of receiving kick backs in 150 cases. Even then I did not take action against anyone."

"You registered a false complaint accusing me of hatching a conspiracy to get one of the members of the cabinet killed. I did not take any action on this accusation. I have never used the government institutions for my personal benefit or for doing politics," added Kumaraswamy.

Responding to the release of CD by BJP with respect to the incident that occurred way back in 2008, Kumaraswamy said, "I am ready for discussion on that issue. I am even ready to face an inquiry in that regard. I will not escape like them. Anyhow, their government is ruling in the center. Let them get inquiry conducted by them only."

"The incident that occurred in 2008, took place in my house itself. It has happened with one of my own party member and that was held with regards to nominating a person as MLC. It is my party's matter. Let them bring that also, if they want to discuss. But do not mix with that." responded Kumaraswamy.

Responding to the question on 'Operation Kamala', the CM said, "One of my party MLA has also gone to Mumbai. I have not discussed this matter in the assembly till now. Nobody knows about their condition there." BJP members started the chaos as soon as the CM spoke on the Mumbai matter. Kumaraswamy, who got furious over the noise made by the BJP members said, "You people are speaking since two days and we have listened patiently.." The speaker also questioned the opposition members on their behaviour of not allowing the ruling party members to express their views. However, when the chaos continued, the speaker had no other option than postponing the proceedings of the house to post lunch session.
