Udupi, Feb 13: "It is a lie that I have supported Mamata Bannerjee. Why I should support Mamata leaving aside my brother Narendra Modi? What is so great about Mamata that I should support her?" replied Prahlad Modi, brother of prime minister of India, Narendra Modi for a jibe that he is the supporter of Mamata Bannerjee.

Prahlad arrived at the Krishna Math in the city on Wednesday, February 13 and offered special pooja and took darshan of Lord Krishna.

Speaking to the media, Prahlad further said, "I am visiting the Krishna Math for the first time. My visit is purely religious. The NDA government has given good administration in the last five years. Public is happy about the style of functioning of the NDA government. On the whole, the people of the country are happy."

"Today, the whole world identifies India, which is a great achievement of the NDA government. This was not possible since independence. The people of India want Modi to be the prime minister once again. I have never criticised my brother Narendra Modi. These are only rumours. The economic policy of the government is being happily accepted by the countrymen," added Prahlad Modi.

Taunting the political entry of Priyanka Gandhi, Prahlad Modi said, "There are many Priyanka's in our country. If one Priyanka enters politics what difference will it make?"

"The central government has given numerous gifts to the farmers in the last budget. Opposition still says that the center has given only Rs 17 per day. This central government has given at least Rs 17. When Congress was in power, they never remembered the farmers of this country. As Sudama gave beaten rice to Lord Krishna, this central government has given something to the farmers. That itself is a happy sign," concluded Prahlad Modi.
