Ankola, Feb 14: In a tragic incident, 4 persons were killed in a head-on collision between a tanker and a car on Ankola NH 66 near Harawada on Thursday, February 14.
The deceased are Ramesh Krishnappa (30), Prabhavati Chikkegouda (30) and Vinay Venkataramanappa (39), residents of Bengaluru, and Meena alias Meenakshi (30), a resident of Doddaballapur, near Bengaluru. Another person was injured in the mishap.
The incident took place at around 8pm when the tanker driver was overtaking the vehicle and rammed into the car coming from the opposite direction.
Ankola police have registered a case in this regard.
