Mangaluru, Feb 18: The 95th founder’s day celebration of Karnataka Bank was held at Karnataka Bank Head Office in Pumpwell on Monday, February 18.

A special lecture on 'Celebration of Life' was delivered by corporate guru and founder of Prasanna Trust Sri Sukhabodhanandaji.

Addressing the gathering Sri Sukhabodhanandaji said," We should always live a love oriented life which makes living beautiful. The day one starts living a fear oriented life then everything will be miserable.”

“Knowledge does not make a difference, but clarity does the difference. The problem with a person is mentality not the situation. Situation controls one’s life and hence one starts blaming the situation. So situation is not a problem but the mentality is the problem,” he said.

"In order to be happy, your mentality should be clear. When an animal drinks water it will be in fear of being a victim of any other animal, but we should always be grateful that we wake without any fear,” said Sukhabodhanandaji.

He further said," We think if we have problem then we are not happy. If you don’t have problem then we are happy. That is the biggest illusion. Everybody has a problem, till we live we will have problems. Learn to enjoy problems. We are too busy in solving the problem, that we don’t understand the problem. Try to approach to the problem in a right way and find solution.”

"We should outsource happiness. We are happy depending upon the situation,” said Sukhabodhanandaji.

Managing director and CEO Karnataka Bank Mahabaleshwara M S welcomed the gathering and said," The financial result of the bank speaks volumes for its strong credentials. The total turnover stood at Rs 1,17,102 crore with deposits of Rs 65,141 crore and advances of Rs 51,961 crore. The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 415.51 crore for the nine month period ending 31 December, 2018. The bank has paid 30% dividend on its equity shares for the financial year 2017-18. The bank has a highly dedicated team of more than 8,200 employees ably patronized by more than 1,89,000 shareholders and more than one crore clients.

He also said, "This year we have started 38 new branches and with this we have touched 835 branches across the country along with new 140 new e-lobby. Even we have undertaken various projects under CSR activities.”

The lecture was followed by Carnatic classical, flute, violin, mandolin trio musical concert by Shantala Subramanyam, Akkarai Sornalatha, U Nagamani, Patri Sathish Kumar and Sukkanya Ramgopal.

Chairman P Jayarama Bhat was also present.
