Udupi: Pramod Madhwaraj obtains interim injunction against T J Abraham

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Mar 27: Former MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, who is also the candidate of the JD(S)-Congress alliance from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, has obtained an interim injunction order from the court against activist T J Abraham over allegations of 'embezzlement'.

In a recent press meet, Abraham had alleged that Pramod Madhwaraj had borrowed a loan of Rs 193 crore from Syndicate Bank, Malpe by offering security security worth only Rs 1.1 crore. Pramod had denied allegations of wrongdoing and had even issued a clarification on how his wealth had increased, citing appreciation of land prices.

Madhwaraj through his lawyer Devaraj Shettigar approached the court seeking an injunction to restrain Abraham and his representatives from issuing allegedly defamatory and false statements or publishing them in all forms of media and social media.

The court, upon hearing Madhwaraj's plea, ordered an interim, temporary injunction, preventing Abraham and his men, agents and representatives from issuing any statements on the issue till the next hearing of the case.

The next hearing has been scheduled for April 27.

Question is about the loan taken from the bank fraudulently by giving very low security amount. By this way, the loan will be defaulted and bank can not recover anything except Rs 1.1cr bank security. It seems that Mr Abraham is not cooking up the story and he is talking on the basis of RTI response from the bank. Instead of supporting the Abraham, why people here question is credibility.

This so called activist, T J Abraham is the hidden agent of BJP from Udupi. Similar like one Mr. Rosario, who had acted against Mr. J.R.Lobo during 2018 State election.

If activist, T J Abraham so interested in fighting justice, what about Shobbakk's apporx 500 acres of coffee estate in Karnataka. From where she got so much income.

Definitely Shobakka will win in this election. Who will vote for JDS in Udupi? I think first time in the history Udupi didn't get Congress seat. Even I am BJP Baktha, we need one opposition Congress Leader in Udupi-Chikkamagalur. Where are these congress Bakhtas?

If Pramod Madhwaraj has given collateral security, of which his acquisition or inheritance value could be much lesser than PMV, Mr. Madhwaraj has clarified that. In such case, T J Abraham' s accusations, will not stand. He shouldn't file frevilous cases.

I feel this is a unreasonable restriction on the right of freedom of speech of T.J. Abraham. Certainly the court is not going to adjudicate on whether he is guilty or innocent on 27th april as it might take years. How long the Petitioner can shut his mouth?

The right solution is filing a defamation suit. I feel Abraham has succeed if he appeals
