Mangalore: Ashitha Tops Mono Act Contest at ‘Kala Pratibotsav—2009’

Ashitha K bagged the first prize in the state-level mono act competitions of ‘Kala Pratibotsav—2009’. 



The event was conducted by the state Kannada and culture department at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore, from Tuesday March 3 to Wednesday March 4.  Ashitha K has also bagged the second prize in the zonal-level competitions and third prize in the district-level competitions.
 
Ashitha is a Class III student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Panambur. She is the daughter of K Anantha Bhat and Anitha Bhat, an employee of Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL), Panambur. 

She has been trained and assisted by well-known artiste Bhaskar Nelliteerta, also a KIOCL employee.
