14 persons arrested in connection with the disturbances have been shifted to Bellary jail. The policemen are not taking any chances, and they continue to man strategic points and sensitive areas in and around the town. Dakshina Kannada district additional superintendent of police Dr N R Dileep visited the town and reviewed the security arrangements.

In the meanwhile, the Puttur taluk magistrate has extended the prohibitory orders issued under section 144 within the Puttur police station limits, till 8 pm on Friday March 20. All the private vehicles coming in and moving out of the town are being checked by the policemen, by setting up barricades at the roads leading to the town. This step is being taken particularly about vehicles moving about after the evening hours, because of the fact that some incidents had taken place in the town after nightfall.

Shaan, you are right since they are minorities they are sent to bellary jail, Beaten , tortured and try to link with ISI or Terrorist if the same is committed by RSS or BD . They are sent to local jail and release within a day. Great karnataka Police. Not even that our K'taka police will be quite and do nothing when BD and SRS people attack any minority people oer their houses but if minority do protest / or fight back in return then great police will hit them with lathi or shoot them. Same on this k'taka police. thay are actually goonda with uniform.
