Bengaluru: Change of CM issue – Angry Kumaraswamy registers strong protest

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, May 9: After two ministers and Congress MLAs openly said that former chief minister Siddaramaiah should be chief minister again, chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday registered a strong protest with the coalition partner Congress on the issue.

Siddaramaiah speaking to media said that H D Kumaraswamy is the chief minister now and the chair is not vacant, But skill development minister P T Parameshwara Naik said Siddaramaiah should become chief minister in the interest of the state. This double standard must have angered Kumaraswamy.

Naik is the second minister to join the chorus. Home minister M B Patil had on Tuesday said he wants Siddaramaiah back as chief minister. Hours after Naik's statement in Ballari, Kumaraswamy met state Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao and deputy chief minister G Parameshwara at his official residence and expressed his anguish at the development.

"Why are senior Congress leaders silent when some ministers are openly talking about a new CM? Why is Siddaramaiah not directing his supporters to stop making such statements?" Kumaraswamy told Gundu Rao, as per some sources.

The CM also told Gundu Rao that the Congress should take immediate measures to silence his party leaders who are creating confusion.

Speaking to reporters after meeting the CM, Gundu Rao clarified that Kumaraswamy will remain the Chief Minister for the full five-year term. “This decision was taken by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda. Hence the question of a new CM does not arise. It is irrelevant," he stated, adding that he will direct his party leaders not to issue such statements.

The growing demand for making Siddaramaiah chief minister again has not only caused embarrassment to the coalition partners but has triggered speculation in political circles on the possibility of change of guard after May 23.

Siddaramaiah had recently expressed his desire to become chief minister again. He had also assured that he would increase the quantum of rice to BPL families under the PDS to 10 kg per family if he becomes chief minister.

I think Cong needs to keep their mouths shut. They were down and out especially after Siddu was booted out of his HOME constituency by 80000 votes. But got have got a lease of like with HDK and JDS support unconditionally . The everlosing presidents career was saved from further sinking.
But now this 'home constituency' loser is ungrateful and wants to become CM.

losing from own constituency and other constituency is totally different. that too in a vokkaliga dominated seat where bjp helped jds. kummi became CM with support from cong. siddu has support of most of the mla's , so its he who will decide to be CM. not even rahul can do anything. after 23 its either siddu or yeddi's game. not bjp or cong game.. Kummi should take rest in kapu .... (btw margin was 35k).

In Cricket and Politics timing is very important. This time, these noises are opportunistically created in anticipation of May 23rd results to alter predictions of HDK's astrologer regarding sustainability of CM post for HDK.

HDK can be angry. But he was CM by accident. He will vacate also by accident. The accident in both the cases are called "election result".

This is called garland ing and hitting by Chappel inside a shawl. Still HDK is hanging to the post even after such humiliation. Cleay shows the power hungry attitude of gowda.
Now coming to nidderamayya saying he will allot more rice from who's pocket he is giving? From his own or parties? Why our hard earned money should be used to give freebies which make working class more lazy?
