Mangalore, Apr 7: In connection with the murder of Candle Santu, who was facing charges of murdering Kaikamba Rafiq and Mallur Hamid, Habid (24) from Karkala Banglegudde and Farooq (21) from the same area, were taken into custody by the special intelligence squad of the district superintendent of police.
A team of plain clothed policemen took away rickshaw driver Habid and Farooq, an unemployed person, in the afternoon on Monday. It is learnt, both of them are being subjected to intensive interrogation.
It may be recalled that Candle Santu, who was identified with some Hindu outfits, was hacked to death near his house at Badakabail near Polali Junction on February 18.
