`Sarg ani Saunsar', Konkani Comedy Play staged at Vakola Church

Mumbai, Apr 14:
‘Sarg ani Saunsar’, a Konkani comedy play, was staged on Sunday April 12 evening, at St Anthony School auditorium, Vakola, Santacruz (East) here.  It was staged in association with Vakolacho Talo, a Konkani organization.  The playwright cum director of the play is  young writer and dramatist Clement D’Souza Madantyar.
 
Richard Crasta, Harry Sequeira Ferrar, Felix Malvani, Florine A Saldanha, Sunil Fernandes, Robert Sequeira, John Rodrigues, Anil Menezes, Nelson Mascarenhas and other dramatists donned different roles in the play, ‘Sarg ani Saunsar’.
 


Konkani Kalakar – Mumbai founder John Sequeira was the chief guest at the simple ceremony held on the occasion.  Fr Richard Lasrado, theatre artistes’ organizer Joy Paladka, Vakolacho Talo president William D’Souza and entrepreneur Marlan Rego were the guests of honour.
 
Dramatist Clement D’Souza Madantyar and Alexius Saldanha were honored with flower bouquets. 
 
Lawrence Coelho, Vijay Lewis, Nicholas Dias, Suzanne L Coelho and others were present at the programme.
 
Mabel Pereira welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.  Clement D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.
