Bengaluru: BJP preparing to launch movement against state government’s failures

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 6: The BJP is preparing to kick up a movement against the state government. It is said that rather than trying to pre-empt downfall of the government, it wants to carry out the movement by focusing on failure of the government on various fronts, corruption, differential treatment, overlooking of development activities etc.

Yeddyurappa will be undertaking a three-day tour to drought hit areas from June 7. BJP legislature party meeting has decided to undertake a three-day programme of protest demonstration and agitation in the city from June 13 on the issue of decision to sell land to Jindal Steel, failure in handling drought, and inability to properly initiate rehabilitation of distressed families in Kodagu which were affected by last year's floods.

B S Yeddyurappa

Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, will be staying in Gurumitkal constituency on June 21 as part of his village stay programme. Curiously, Yeddyurappa will be undertaking inspection tour of drought-hit areas of this constituency on June 9 itself.

Speaking to the media after the legislature party meeting held at the state BJP office, state BJP general secretary, Arvind Limbavali, said that the lackadaisical approach of the state government towards handling of drought in spite of the fact that its attention was repeatedly attracted towards the severeness of drought, was condemned at the meeting, He also informed about Yeddyurappa's planned three-day drought-hit areas visit beginning from June 7.

The BJP was shouting from roof tops that 25 MLA's from Congress will be joining the BJP. Looks like this will never materialise. Opearion Lotus has also failed miserably. In keeping with what their BJP Gen Secretary had stated that by Decemeber the State Govt will collapse and so this movment to use as a smoke screen to destabilise the state Govt.

It will be nice to understand a few issues with regard to the Lok Sabha Elections where the Central Election Commission played the dominant role and he BJP won a landslide. Within a week of the Lok Sabha elections the Karnataka urban body and local body elections were held by the state election commission and state EVM's and ballot papers were used and the Congress won almost a landslide if the votes polled by the JDS their coalition partnerare also considered.

So in preparation for the next state elections the battle perhaps will be for the control of the state EVM's and so we may witness will be Operation Lotus Phase III and not Horse Trading but Donkey Trading.

Jo Bhi EVM ka Control lega Woh Hi Sikander.

Though I am not a supporter of any party, I am just surprised why the opposition parties are keeping mum on the EVM gotala, if what you are saying is true? Yes they did go to the supreme court and election commission on certain specific matters. This is really confusing.
