The 2019 Elections’, has termed the recent democratic exercise as the ‘most expensive election ever, anywhere’ with an estimated Rs 100 crore spent in each Lok Sabha constituency. Effectively, an approximate Rs 700 per vote was spent.
According to a report published by the Centre For Media Studies (CMS), the BJP’s poll expenditure has been the highest. Of the total Rs 60,000 crore spent during the elections, the BJP spent Rs 27,000 crore – nearly 45%.
In comparison, the party had spent just 20% of the total expenditure in 1998.

At an average of ₹48 lakh per bond, the State Bank of India (SBI) has issued 10,494 electoral bonds in nine phases of election, worth over ₹5,029 crore, an RTI response has revealed. This in addition to the Rs28,000 crores spends by the BJP alone.

Unless there is no transparency of 'Electoral bonds', the revealing expenses of BJP MP are absolutely worthless.

The nation has spent Rs60,000 crores just for elections. This is not included the troop's movement and civic staff duty and expenditure.

But still more than 370 seat results on ECI website there is a big mismatch between the casted votes and VVIPT.

Unless there is proper auditing of the poll expenditure of candidates, the election expenses will be the biggest burden for our economy.

Right friends, Shobha and Nalin have spent the most in the twin districts. We all saw a big crowd when Modi came to Mangalore you think the people are true voters we see so many North Indians working in Mangalore and Udupi and they had to pay them at least Rs. 2000 each and locals were also paid handsomely to make the ground (Nehru Maidan) full and even climb trees like monkeys. So is'nt it all expenses which the candidate had to bear. The other candidates had no such expenses.
