Manchester: KCA UK holds annual get-together

Manchester, Jul 3: KCA UK, Manchester, held its annual summer picnic on June 22 at Carsington Waters, Derbyshire. The turnout was great, as there were around 110 people that attended. KCA UK was at its best, celebrating the community spirit.

The picnic started with a prayer on the bus and a welcome speech by Santhosh Pinto, president of KCA UK.

The weather was brilliant with the sun shining down. On reaching the picnic spot, delicious homemade breakfast idli, vada and sambar was served.

There were fun games organised which entertained one and all thoroughly like sack race, lemon and spoon race for the kids and dog and the bone, seven tiles (lagori), tug-of-war etc for the adults. All were divided into two teams. The competition was fierce which added to the fun and laughter.



After a sumptuous lunch, there was live music by the very own talent Mukesh on the harmonium, Ganesh on the drums and Joe on the guitar. Stany Mendonca and Daniel entertained all with their melodious voice as usual. People danced along and all had a joyful time.
