Kukkaje is also a winner of five national awards including the ‘Gulf Cup Dirt Track Racing’ with first, second, and third prizes in different sections of the contest.

He has exhibited his photographs in Bangalore, Kundapur, and in many schools in rural areas of Dakshina Kannada district. Kukkaje’s exhibition in the city on ‘Tsunami’ after visiting the island of Andaman, attracted lovers of photography in 2005.

Raghupathi N Doddaballapura and Nagesh Panathale from Mysore won the first prize in both sections, respectively.

The SPS will honour the winners on Saturday June 13, in a programme at Sagar, along with an exhibition of photos, said a media release by K S Rajaram, director of SPS.
