Triple Talaq legislation attack on Islam: Bengal minister

Kolkata, Aug 2 (IANS): A West Bengal minister, a prominent Muslim face of the ruling Trinamool Congress, on Thursday refused to accept the Triple Talaq legislation saying it would "deprive Muslim women of their rights".

Siddiqullah Chowdhury, Mass Education Minister in the Mamata Banerjee government and the President of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind's West Bengal unit, told a media conference that the law was an "attack on Islam".

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019, commonly known as the Triple Talaq Bill, which was ratified by the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, received the presidential assent on Thursday.

"It is impossible to accept this at any cost. In fact, we dislike the move. This will not secure the safety and rights of women," Chowdhury said.

"In fact, it is an attack on Islam. We won't accept it. We will decide on the further course of action soon," he said.

    Enimies of islam always try to say that we believers should follow them which clearely mentioned in quran and finally brought a verse in holy book as AL KHAAFIROON .

    If any non muslim expexct as same like what sanghi government or indian CHAAPLOSI media expects then they should first study the verse al khaafiroon in quran with translation and its related incident about relegious compromise.

    TRIPLE TALAQ IS DEFINITELY A SOCIAL EVIL BUT IF IT PROCESSED BY ANY MUSLIM HUSBAND THE TALAQ TAKES PLACE BECAUSE IT WAS ALLOWED BY KHALEEFA UMAR ra.. in some conditions and any ruling of quran hadees or prophets companion have same significance.

    Not only TT other anti Muslim bills like NRC, UAPA , PETA (influenced at threshold) and who knows how many more ahead to follow. But the results will be backfired when the govt. introducing with bad intention. God is watching everything.
