Bengaluru: BJP internal party team formed to study beef ban laws

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 30: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa is under intense pressure from the 'Gaurakshaks' to ban the slaughter of cows in the state. Owing to the pressure, the ruling BJP has formed an internal team, which will study the laws pertaining to the prohibition of cow slaughter that is in place in some other states of the country.

In 2010, the then BJP government led by Yediyurappa had placed a blanket ban on the slaughter of cattle in the state. However, the same was abolished by the Congress party led by Siddaramaiah in 2013.

Now the BJP unit of Karnataka has formed a team of legal experts to look into the laws that are in place in other states, in which there is ban on the slaughter of cows.

C T Ravi

This action is taken by the party after Basangouda Patil Yatnal, BJP MLA of Vijayapura and BJP Gau Samrakshana Prakoshta have put pressure by sending petitions to the government to re-enforce the cow slaughter prevention bill and strengthen its provisions.

C T Ravi, minister for tourism, Kannada and culture said, "A team, comprising six or seven legal experts, will make a tour of different states and study the laws that are similar to the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act of 2010. They will study the Acts and then a report of the same will be submitted to the government,"

"The aim of the study tour is to take the provisions that are in force in other states and then include the same in the new bill that the government is proposing to pass," said minister Ravi.

Yediyurappa-led BJP government had passed a bill in 2010, despite stiff opposition from the Congress party in the name of Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill, that was similar to the one that was in force in the states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

The bill introduced by BJP in 2010 had put a blanket ban on cow slaughter, which had severe penalty clauses for its violation.

The bill that was intended to be brought into implementation was with the President of India for assent, when the newly formed government of Siddaramaiah withdrew the same in 2013 and restored the 1964 Act, which allowed the slaughter of bulls, bullocks and buffaloes if they were over the age of 12 years or if they were unfit for breeding or did not give milk.

The state BJP has rebuked Siddaramaiah for withdrawing the bill in 2013 and has urged the chief minister Yediyurappa to re-enact the bill and prevent the cattle slaughter in Karnataka.

The Karnataka BJP is not concerned to form the study team for the flood victims because these natural calamity victims don't bring 'votes' as 'Gau Raksha' without any development.

For the BJP humanity don't seem to be a matter of concern, but Hindutva takes center stage which can easily manipulate minds of the majority Hindu community and even the educated class.

How Much Will ‘Gau Raksha’ Cost India?

A typical animal weighs around 250-300 kg. Here is a look at the per day cost of feeding these animals. The average bovine may live for 14-15 years, but it ceases to be “productive” to the farmer beyond eight or nine years.

The costs of maintenance and manual labour for these proposed sanctuaries will be over and above the cost of feeding the animals. According to the 2012 Livestock Census, India has a cattle population of 190-odd million.

Based on the years of productivity, around 22-23 million animals would ordinarily be out of the farming system.

If slaughtering is banned, that means the country is looking at an additional 10 million cattle every year, at an approximate total cost of Rs 22,000 crore to care for them. The question, then, boils down “Inko paaley kaun”(Who will take care of them?)

The True Story of the Father of Hindutva Savarkar was, in contrast, hardly a practicing Hindu in the religious sense. He followed no rituals and thought that god if indeed god existed, wasn’t really in the habit of responding to prayer.

‘If Hindutva is to sustain itself on a cow’s legs, it’ll crash at the hint of a crisis’: VD Savarkar

Historian Dwijendra Narayan Jha argues that the 'holiness' of the cow is a myth. The study team & every Hindu should read the book 'The Myth of the Holy Cow'.

The Cow has no religious value in Hinduism. It is just an emotive subject easy to be exploited using religious feelings. Moreover it $5 billion business even BJP government 'Pink revolution' don't want to miss.
An average cost of unproductive bovine cost Rs60/head/day

The only agenda is to divert the attention of people. Nobody is interested on better roads, compensation for flood victims, compensation for farmers for crop losses due to heavy rain.
The game plan is to restrict the movement of cattle so they can send the goons to collect money at every step.

    Living God on cattle.

    Psalm 106:

19 At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped an idol cast from metal.

20 They exchanged their glorious God for an image of a bull, which eats grass.

21 They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,

22 miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23 So he said he would destroy them had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from destroying them.

God The Father on His Love and Mercy.

    August 29, 2019
    Public

Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says: "Children, I desire your closer relationship with Me. Regard Me as your loving Father whose Mercy is from age to age. There is no sin I cannot forgive in a repentant heart. Learn to turn to Me amidst life's storms and difficulties for nothing takes place that I do not see. I also wish to share in your victories and joys."

"You face no defeat apart from My love and mercy. It is I Who support you and listen to your prayers. It is I Who show you the way out of sinful situations. It is I Who manipulates circumstances to enhance your welfare."

"Begin to trust in Me as a little child trusts its loving father. Trust begets trust. The soul who trusts is at peace in every situation of life. Your trust deepens the more your love deepens in Me. Begin to know Me better by recognizing My Hand in your everyday life. To know Me, is to love Me. To love Me, is to trust in Me."

    Read Psalm 5:11-12+

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do defend them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

    Read Psalm 23:1-6+

Brilliant idea. A resolution can be reached at...

I have been told by my numerous colleagues and friends that as cow has been very essential animal from generations as it's milk is essential to little babies to children and for many other good consumable reasons. However as per my friends and colleagues narrations that it was British policy to capture religious sentiments of population and they converted 'sacred cow to "Holy Cow"!!!!

Similarly, highly acclaimed Ram, was King Ram of Ayodhya. Again, it was British policy to narrate King Ram as Lord Ram. In British English the word Lord has dual meaning. First reference to 'God' second reference to a British ruling class title Lord (Example Lord Corn Wallace etc..)

Personally I do not have any opinion. The elected governments can solve such discussions.
