Bengaluru: Government to make linking Aadhaar card mandatory for buying liquor?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Sep 1: This news will dampen the spirits of liquor lovers of the country. It is learnt that the central government has written letters to the commissioners and secretaries of the Excise Department to give their opinions on making Aadhaar card linking mandatory for buying liquor.

In addition, the National Environmental Care Foundation from Mangaluru has also asked the state government to prevent environment pollution that is occurring due to the tetra packs and bottles that is used to pack the liquor.

The foundation has given the following important suggestions:

*The liquor shop people have to take the Aadhaar card of the person, enter the same in computer and then sell the liquor.

*When a person who arrives to buy liquor for the second time, should bring back the old empty bottle.

*If the liquor bottles are strewn everywhere, the barcode of the bottle needs to be scanned and suitable fine needs to be imposed on the shop that has sold that bottle of liquor.

*Money should be kept in reserve for the welfare of the wife and children of drunkards.

*Drunkards who fall at public places after consuming liquor should be taken to their homes safety and in a respectful manner to their homes by the excise department.

*If all the money earned is spent on liquor, the excise department has to provide grocery to the household of the drunkards.

*If a person's health is affected due to the consumption of liquor, then the cost of his and is families health check up expenses should be borne by the excise department or the government.

As the proposal is on planning level, it is not known how the Aadhaar card is required to be linked. More details are awaited.

Simple, Stop blaming the Govt and Analyze why are they doing it,

    1. They want to put cleanliness in people mind.

    2. Consumption of liquor is not good for health (too much) so just want to put that in peoples mind

    3. Instead of bashing the Govt just follow the rules, if you have not voted for BJP does not mean others have not.

    Chup Chaap follow karlo.

Jagadish in gulf licence is the need to buy Liquor. The reason behind is a person is capable to have liquor with the salary he gets and make a living. Do not spread useless news. A letter from the company too is required, and the application has to be approved from the police department.

Very good move by BJP government. The prohibition on liquor should be applied. If you are addicted to Liquour and these restrictions stop you buying liquor then switch to Go Mutra. Go mutra is much stronger than liquor and great in giving hallucinations. For proof look at Bhakts who all the time hallucinate despite the grim economic conditions. Also no restrictions on consuming go mutra and its 1/4th the price of liquor. Cheers!!!

Wow..oh...is it so Go Mutra stronger than liquor. How long you intake.
May be at the beginning you find difficulty looks so. Thanks to inform and kept positive note on Go Mutra. Hope now your health is fine and fit. At least some segment of people like you and your family follow sanatan dharam correctly. Go Mutra rich in all minerals required for human-being as it's depend only upon grassy things. Preserving cattles is good for next generation people as are having many benefits for all of us. In society some katukas are after consume it's meat.

Why ? Does the govt want to know if (1) Paki/Bangladeshis buy liquor in India, or (2) Do they want to detect the accumulated sum spent ny the affluent on liquor thus arriving at a figure that (it) might be Black money ?

    Wow... so innovative !

Why government is linking Aadhar to this? Already people do not have jobs. From where they will buy liquor.
this is like asking everyone to be fit without having money to have proper three square meals a day.
I feel chaiwala, daku and other chaddis have gone crazy.
Instead of focusing on uplifting the GDP, economy, they are diverting the emotions of the countrymen into nonsense things.

    Height of Intelligence..!!!

Govt cant take effective measures to tackle the waste management in-spite of collecting huge charges from citizens and for its inefficiency its making the excise and shop owners to pay for it.

First of all Govt is collecting heavy taxes from sale of liqour..!
Secondly shop owners has to shell out in lakhs just to renew their license yearly..!!!

Now both the excise and shop owners are responsible for the waste management well being of drunkards and their families...!!

If the Govt and the so called Foundation dare to apply similar conditions for the sale of soft drinks like COKE & PEPSI which contributes a large volume for plastic bottle waste.

This is the finest example for the famous pro verb "Nach Na Aaye Aangan Teda...!!!!

Very nice move by central government. Will get actual figure how much a person consume liquor according to religion and caste. May be possibility for people under under reservation quota will get discount somewhat. Linking drunkards with health insurance is one way good. People's capacity to buy liquor will give a clear picture how much a person own wealth. A special team from ED to raid on drunkards in near future.

Condoms purchaseupon producingAadhaar ???? Certainly not ! In a nation where rapes, if all recorded, might go above the number of marriages, if you are suggesting to regulate condoms sales is to impose decency, it will backfire.

No surprises, that because of condoms our population may be how less it is. An item that people are still conscious about buying openly, if restricted, there will be more abortions than births.
