Mangaluru: Notorious criminal Sam Peter sent to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Sep 1: Sam Peter, who used to extort money from people in the guise of officer of National Crime Investigation Bureau (NCIB), and who was nabbed in the city while waiting to kidnap a certain individual, was produced to court on Saturday, August 31. He has been remanded to judicial custody till September 13.

Nagaraja N S (39) and Raghavendra (31), both residents of Nagarabavi in Bengaluru, who were arrested in this connection on August 26, were sent to three days of police custody. CBI and Maharashtra police have also appealed the court to give Sam Peter (53) to their custody.

Sam Peter faces various cases throughout the country. He was declared as Most Wanted Criminal by the CCB and a Red Corner notice was issued in his name also. In addition, the intelligence department was searching for Sam Peter since some time.

CBI police arrived in the city on August 30 with a warrant from CBI Court seeking custody of Sam Peter and they have submitted an appeal in the city court. Maharashtra police have also submitted an appeal to handover the criminal for more investigations.

Sam Peter has got accomplices all over the country and now they are trying to get anticipatory bail. One of Sam Peter's accomplices Muzaffar Ahmed, lawyer of Bengaluru has already got anticipatory bail from the sixth additional district and sessions court of Mangaluru.

    Mark my words all this police, judicial custody and later punishment will not end their activity. They will continue with it after they get released. They should be imprisoned for minimum 7 years without bail and parole.

    For Sam Peter's accomplices they should not be given bail till all cases are investigated but only jail with bhelpuri once a month.

    There network is wide spread nexus with politicans industrialists bureaucrts..and underworld. Some of people in this gang are notorious rowdies from long. Carrying and storing weapons to conduct there various illegal activities.
