IANS

Mumbai, Jul 7:  She has been hogging the limelight for her dare to bare act in "Short Kut: The Con Is On" that releases Friday. But Amrita Rao says she believes in hardwork and not taking shortcuts to achieve success in life.

"My entry in filmdom was not a freak accident, it was my participation in ad films that got me due recognition with famous directors and producers. I guess that's the only shortcut I have taken in my life and it paid off. Otherwise, I don't believe in shortcuts at all, I believe in the fact that slow and steady wins the race," she said.

"Short Kut-The Con Is On" is a comedy and it also stars Arshad Warsi and Akshaye Khanna. It has been produced by Anil Kapoor and directed by Neeraj Vora.

Kirron Kher digs own wardrobe for TV show

There is no designer to be thanked for Bollywood actress Kirron Kher's classic clothes and accessories that she sports on the reality show "India's Got Talent". She digs into her own wardrobe to deck up for the show.

"All the clothes that I wear on the show are my own. I mostly wear saris," Kirron told IANS.

The actress' ethnic and royal taste in terms of fashion is not hidden from many who have followed her style.

Talking about her taste, she said: "I love ethnic and woven saris, but I'm not too fond of embroidered ones. I love kanjivarams, tussars and those with kantha work. I also like French printed chiffons for their lovely flow. Basically, anything which is understated and has fine work and looks like from the 1920s and 1930s is my ideal choice."

Among the designers, Kirron likes Pallavi Jaikishen, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and Sabyasachi Mukherjee's saris.

She is judging the variety reality show along with internationally-acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actress Sonali Bendre.
