Reports claim Pak to submit dossier citing Rahul's remark, Nirmala fumes

New Delhi/Chennai, Sep 10 (IANS): A document, purported to be a Pakistani "dossier" to be submitted to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), appeared on some media outlets on Tuesday, citing comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Omar Abdullah of the National Conference on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The document has a quote attributed to Rahul Gandhi, which reads: "It's been 20 days since the people of J&K had their freedom and civil liberties curtailed. Leaders of opposition and press got a taste of the draconian administration and brute force unleashed on people of J&K when we tried to visit Srinagar."

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was quick to comment on the document. Speaking in Chennai, she lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, saying that his statements help Pakistan more than India.

The document also has a quote attributed to Omar Abdullah, which says, "GoI's unilateral and shocking decision will have far-reaching and dangerous consequences. This is an aggression against Kashmiris. The decision is unilateral, illegal and unconstitutional. A long and tough battle lies ahead. We are ready."

The purported document appeared on a day when Pakistan raked up the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at the UNHRC in its desperation to internationalise the matter.

Only person burning is Normal Sitharaman. Rahul statement is a reality. She does not like truth to be told rather she wants Rahul to say" yes ,Good Job Modi". How can one say that when Modi has done a blunder.

Opposition leaders views and crticism should not be viewed as enemy or friendly countries point of view for political gain and media publicity. Opposition is integral part of govt and has every right to criticize and oppose the govt on every issue for the betterment of the country and people in mind. What about PM Modi visiting Pakistan without official invitation and privately enjoying birth party with the company of terrorists and enemies of India. Does this cordial heart to heart relationship augment and bolster Pakistani cause????????.....BJP is using all possible methods to silence opposition voice to safe guard its blunder.

Why it hurts you when the friendly encounter is mentioned ? Our PM is same, did not change as Pak's did.

Modi touched Art.370 without analysing the repercussions, only to prove that he is better than Congress. No, I'm not agreeing with Pak's interference with Indian matters. I'm watching the efficiency of a man who boasted 'even a tea seller can be a PM' Nitin Gadkari is so very right - whatever BJP touches, it turn into ashes.

More is yet to come. Art. 370 will be the doom of Modi !

Why fume ?? The minute anybody utters Art. 370 you guys brand them desh-drohi. Why nothing is given in news about J&K ? What is the government hiding ? Let the nation know about day-to-day news. This a democratic country, not BJP's kingdom where people have abide by each word/action of the two-men army.
