-Rs 1,000 to Rs 500 for riding without a helmet.
-Rs 5,000 to Rs 2,000 for driving without a licence for two-wheelers, Rs 3,000 for four-wheelers.
-If the license, insurance, PUC, RC book is not there, the fine will be as per the new Motor Vehicles Act. Rs 500, first offence, Rs 1,000 for the second offence.
- Rs 1,000 to Rs 100 fine for Triple riding.
- Rs 10,000 to Rs 1,000 for driving polluting vehicles, (small vehicles) and  Rs 3,000 for large vehicles.

The new fines had created an uproar among Indians against the government. Union Road and Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari stated that the new fines were one of the means to curb the traffic violations. Further, Gadkari believed that people did not fear the law anymore due to which new rules were necessary.

However, there are still some of the states who have taken it slow when it comes to the implementation of new traffic fines.

In Bombay, the system of getting job done by under the table deals was initially started by migrated persons from Gujarath. Now when such heavy fines are imposed, they will definitely find ways and means of reducing the fines. This one looks like one such step. Sub kutch chalta hai is their famous statement.

It's what earlier central government approved. If same applied again protest will start to reduce more. Better increase four times first when people demand revision bring and stop it in half itself. Now all are happy. We aware nicely people's mentality. Na thumhara na humhara aadhe mein aakar kade rahenghe..Pre planned decision.
