Mumbai, Jul 25: Telecom services provider Tata Communications Saturday said its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 fell 67 percent to Rs.32 crore ($6.6 million) as against Rs.98 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Tata's stand-alone revenue also fell 3.2 percent to Rs.843 crore for the quarter under review from Rs.871 crore, the company said in a statement.
The company's operating profit was, however, up 10 percent to Rs.218 crore from Rs.199 crore.
Tata Communications announced a slew of new partnerships and new launches in the quarter. It partnered with Qatar Telecom (QTel) and RTComm in Russia to deliver global connectivity services.
The company also partnered with Starwood hotels to roll out its video-conferencing facility, the statement added.
