Margao: Rise in Number of Idol Desecration Incidents: HJS to Protest on July 29

Margao Jul 27: The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has launched a state-wide agitation to pressurize the government to take immediate measures to curb the increasing incidence of the desecration of idols of Hindu deities. As a part of this agitation, it has announced, that a huge protest rally will be staged in front of the legislative assembly at Porvorim on July 29.

Hindu Janjagruti Samiti has alleged that the government has miserably failed in curbing the incidents of idol desecration in Goa, as evidenced by the increasing number of such incidents.

According to Jayesh Thali, Goa state Sanghatak of HJS, the protest rally will start from Shree Maruti Temple situated at the KTC Bus stand, Panaji at 4.30 pm, on Wednesday July 29.

Thali added that the protest rally as above, is being organized to protest against the rising incidents of idol desecration and to highlight the inaction on the part of the state government.

HJS has appealed to all the Hindus to participate in this protest rally and fulfill their bounden duty towards Hindu Dharma.
