Mangalore: 'Mumbai Express' Auto rickshaw Rally in City for Novel Cause

Mangalore, Aug 7: An auto rickshaw rally titled 'Mumbai Express', driven by the motto, 'freedom through education', was organized by the city unit of  Round Table - 115 organization under the aegis of Mangalore Ladies Circle in the city on Thursday August 6.

District superintendent of police Dr A Subrahmanyeshwar Rao flagged off the rally. Ajith Kumar, Dr Geetesh Raskinha, Dr Ronad Menezes, Pramod Pinto, Devadas, Yatin, Lester D'Souza and other members of the Round Table organization were present on the occasion.
































27 persons belonging to 10 different nations took part in the rally on nine auto rickshaws. The team which has been going round the country, arrived in the city on Thursday. It may be recalled that the team had come to the city last year too, when it extended various facilities to some local schools.

'Round Table' is an apolitical youth organization, members of which are aged between 18 and 40 years. The organization aims at imbibing among the youth, the noble qualities like service, honour and dignity, at both national and international level.

The organization, under its motto, 'freedom through education', strives to provide infrastructural facilities like buildings, basic amenities, educational facilities, health services and other programmes that benefit the children of the primary schools, the organizers said.

    Grate initiative by this ''NGO"s. We need similar Orgainisation in all the "Cities" and towns to take the noble qualities like service, honour and dignity which is lacking in society. It is very important that we educate our children with these qualities.Let our schools take this initiatives in the elementary "curriculam" .
