China cites progress in US trade talks

Beijing, Oct 31 (IANS): The Chinese and US economic and trade teams have maintained close contacts and are making smooth progress on the negotiations, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Thursday.

The two sides will continue to advance consultations as planned, and the Chinese and US chief trade negotiators will hold a phone conversation again on Friday, Xinhua quoted the spokesperson as saying.
