Bantwal, Aug 16:  A packet of meat found on the premises of a Madarasa near Madya in Kavalapadoor village, led to a tense situation for hours in the area on Sunday August 16.

The incident took place at the Badriya Darul Salam Madarasa. The tutor in the Madarasa saw the packet on the premises. It is believed that the meat is that of a pig and weighed about 1 kg, but the police have not yet confirmed as to which animal’s meat it really is.

After the news spread, many people gathered in the area but no untoward incident was reported.

Police in Bantwal police station said that the situation is under control after police deployment around the religious place.  Assistant superintendent of police Chandragupta visited the spot.

During this time, the management committee of the Madarasa gave a memorandum to the official demanding that the police take strict action against the culprits. They alleged that it was a conspiracy to disrupt the peaceful lives of people of all communities in the area.

Bantwal rural police registered a case in this regard.
