Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School Bendore wins yet again at inter-school volleyball tourney

Mangaluru, Nov 14: AICS organised an inter-school volleyball competition on November 13 at Carmel School, here.

St Agnes CBSE School, Bendore, in the city bagged the championship in the under-17 girls category for the third consecutive year. There were 12 participating teams from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

The St Agnes team put up a nail-biting fight to the very end, as the players who were an edge above the rest showcased a powerhouse performance which brought the teams neck to neck during the matches.

The following players were part of the winning team – Samridhi, Thanvi J R, Prewal Fredlin Fernandes, Deona Justin Miranda, Carol Sweedle Pinto, Paloma Rhea Monteiro, Sanvi S Shetty, Vamshika J R, Richa Sabina Roche, Rhea Lucina Roche, Shreesha, Aarlyn Riona Lobo.

The Best Smasher trophy was won by Richa Roche and The Best Passer trophy was won by Rhea Roche. Relentless practice turned this spectator sport into a thrilling experience for the teams and audience.

The credits for this championship are shared by the spirited sports teachers of the school – Tr Babita, Tr Devika and Tr Salviya whose tireless efforts bore fruit.
