Karkala, Nov 22: St Lawrence Minor Basilica Attur will celebrate its annual feast from January 26 which will begin with confraternity Sunday Mass at 7.30 am. 

The feast will continue till January 30. The last Mass will be offered at 9.30 pm on that day. 

From January 26 to 30, everyday there will Masses from morning to night in Konkani as well as in Kannada. 

Attur has a long history of devotion of St Lawrence where people from all the faiths have been visiting the shrine, now the Minor Basilica.

During the five days celebrations Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mangalore will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Sunday January 26 at 6.30 and this mass will be specially offered for Children’s in Konkani.

Dr Anthony Swamy Thomasappa, Bishop, Diocese of Chikmagalur, will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Monday January 27 at 6.00 pm. Mass will be celebrated in Kannada.

Geevarghese Makarios Kalayil, Bishop, Diocese of Puthur(Syro-Malankara), will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Tuesday January 28 at 10.30 am. Mass will be celebrated in Kannada,

Dr Francis Serrao, Bishop, Diocese of Shimoa, will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Tuesday January 28 at 6.00 pm. Mass will be celebrated in Kannada

Dr  Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop, Diocese of Udupi, will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Wednesday January 29 at 10.30 am. Mass will be celebrated in Konkani.

Dr Lawrence Mukkuzhy, Diocese of Belthanady (Syro - Malabar) will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Wednesday January 29 at 6.00 pm. Mass will be celebrated in Kannada

Dr Peter Paul Saldhana, Bishop, Diocese of Manalore, will preside over Holy Eucharistic celebration on Thursday January 30 at 10.30 pm. Mass will be celebrated in Konkani.
