Mangaluru: Man who arrived from Dubai waylaid, robbed

Mangaluru, Nov 23: A gang which followed a youngster who came by a flight from Dubai and was proceeding to Kumble from the international airport here, waylaid him near Padavinangady in the city, and escaped with two suitcases belonging to him. The incident happened on Friday, November 22 evening.

The young passenger aged 25 had reached the airport here at around 6.30 pm on Friday. He was then going to Kumble in a car bearing Kerala registration. A gang which noticed him followed him in a car bearing registration number from the city. After attacking the man near Padavinangady here, the gang snatched away his two suitcases before fleeing towards Kavoor.

The police feel that this could be the handiwork of people known to the victim. They have been probing the incident vigorously. The youth however has claimed that he did not identify his attackers. The police personnel of the rural station here have been questioning the youth and his car driver in a bid to get clues about this crime.

    strange,unbelievable.Never heard such special robbing.why should they rob only his suitcases?not his money or other hand bag?There was some tip giver around either or informant of bag contents.ask the person what was in suite case. May be his suite case was double under cover contains some most wanted contents.?one day we will be knowing more.

    There’s is a suggestion for mangaloreans
    Before I used to travel from Kuwait to manglore directly but I fed up with the service of Mangaluru airport it’s worst ever
    Now I am traveling from here to bangalore
    Outside Bangalore airport there is vayu vajra bus or volvo service direct from airport to manglore
    No need to worry
    You can travel free of mind
    No one knows you came from abroad
    And ticket also cheap

    Atleast for 15 kms our roads to and from airport should be well lit so that other passersby can notice something is amiss when a robbery or fight is taking place. The roads entering and exiting mangalore airport is a joke...no street lights in some sections at all.

    Mangaluru and DK is slowly turning into Bihar of South India...
    On one end are the Bangladeshis working in the construction sector. Though the builders know that they are illegal migrants they are hired because of shortage of labour and also cheap labour.
    Second is the influx of people from Bihar and UP in hair cutting saloons, hotels, etc
    Third is the influx of Bijapur gowdas mainly in domestic help and security guard duty and also selling flowers, vegetables etc
    Last but not the least are the people of God's own country, fondly called as Mallus, who have infested in the city everywhere supplying drugs mainly.

    Only Lord Brahma or Parashurama can save this district. Jai everyone and everything.

    There are hundreds of passengers from gulf states travelling back to their homes for vacation the Mnagalore airport every day. How many of you ever heard about a case like this earlier? This is definitely a one off case, probably arisen because of some personal enmity or the passenger must be travelling with some smuggled goods, or he might have had not paid beck someone's hand loan...reasons might be many.
    Only fools or retarded minds will compare Mangalore to UP for one incidence like this is just
