Mon, Nov 25 2019As per Customs rules, a female passenger with one year of stay abroad is allowed to bring 40 gms of dutyfree gold and on remaining quantitycustoms duty has to be paid at applicable rates. Whereas a male passenger can bring 20 gms of dutyfree gold and beyond that customs duty is payable.
(While going if a passenger is taking gold alongwith him/her, then an export certificate is issued by the customs officials on duty. This export certificate is issued only after producing a valid invoice/bill/ valuation certificate from recognised jeweller. No customs duty is payable on such gold?

Sun, Nov 24 2019Passengers, are acutely aware, that transportation of gold, narcotics, currency, are prohibited.... if intercepted, they will be prosecuted !!!!! Yet many, have the audacity, to flout laws.. Makes me wonder the motives of such carriers... Is it Greed or an act of Desperation !!!! They will never ever, dream of carrying arms n ammunitions !!!!!!!!!
