Mangalore: Unduly Heavy Rain Disrupts Normal Life

Mangalore, Sep 4: The twin-districts received heavy rains on the night of Thursday September 3. During the day too, heavy rains, interspersed with drizzles in between, were experienced. The twin-districts experienced a cloudy climate and there were a few patches of clear climate too.

Mangalore and Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district experienced heavy rains, while Puttur, Bantwal and Beltangady taluks mostly experienced light rain, with cloudy weather. Excepting the Moodbidri region, Mangalore taluk got heavy rains.

Udupi district also continued to be experience heavy rains on Thursday. Almost all the rivers and rivulets in the district have been flowing to the brim. A house in Pangala in Udupi taluk suffered partial damage and officials of the revenue department visited the spot to assess the damage.
